Shopping online at The Quilter’s Closet, using your credit card, is safe and secure.
In fact, contrary to popular belief, it is more secure than using your card in a shop or restaurant.
As an online store, we take security very seriously.
How are we able to ensure your shopping experience remains secure?
Fact #1
We do not receive/handle any card details. All the payments are processed by STRIPE. The card number is never available to any human being at any stage in the process.
STRIPE is highly secure. Anyone involved with the processing, transmission, or storage of card data must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
Fact #2

STRIPE automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). STRIPE collects your payment information, which is securely transmitted directly to Stripe without it passing through our servers.

Fact #4
When you shop at The Quilter’s Closet for the first time, you will automatically create a Quilters Closet Account. You will be asked to provide a password. No one will know what that password is except you… even we are unable to see it as it is encrypted. As you enter the password, it will be dynamically analysed by the security system and must pass stringent strength tests until it is considered strong and hard to break (it’s ok, you’ll see how helpful it is as you
Create a Strong Password). It is important that you NEVER share your password with anyone. Even staff at The Quilter’s Closet will NEVER ask you for your password.
Having a Quilters Closet Account will open up other features on the site and will enhance your future shopping experience. We even made it easy for you to test it out on us. Want to have a go, for free, and

Security Tips
Never let your credit cards out of your sight, and always check your statements carefully for any unusual transaction. Most ‘internet fraud’ that you hear about does not involve card numbers being intercepted or stolen over the internet. What commonly happens is that cards are cloned or copied by criminals, which can be done by simply swiping the magnetic strip through a card-reading device.
